Class begins with a few minutes of stretching and warm-up. As a group, students are led through drills consisting of kicking, punching, sweeping and blocking. The instructor then teaches or reviews forms that represent the core of the material for the belt rank.
Within this section of the class, there is normally dedicated time for students to practice individually. These are either empty hand or weapons forms. Students also work with partners on self-defense techniques and forms applications. Most classes end with sparring exercises and sparring practice.
We don't use gimmicks, high-pressure sales tactics or fine print tricks. We simply want to offer you the chance to meet the instructors and experience class so you can decide for yourself that this is the right path. At the end of the class, you can enroll on the spot, go home and think about it first or simply walk away.
